Windhoek becomes the most frequently served destination in the flight schedule of Eurowings Discover. From March 27, the airline will increase its offer from five to seven weekly flights between Frankfurt and Windhoek. The program will then be further expanded to a total of ten weekly flights during northern summer peak season, lasting from July 2 to September 11, 2022.
In the winter flight schedule 2022/2023, the vacation airline of the Lufthansa Group, Eurowings Discover, will also fly from Munich to the island paradise in the Indian Ocean. By non-stop flight, travelers will reach Malé, the capital of the Maldives, twice a week (Wednesdays & Sundays) in around 10 hours flying time.
This year, the Lufthansa subsidiary will be the first intercontinental airline ever to start scheduled operations to South Africa's largest National Park. Between November 15, 2022, and March 25, 2023, Eurowings Discover will fly three times a week from Frankfurt to Mbombela, Kruger National Park, with a short stopover in Windhoek.
Just in time for the winter flight schedule, Eurowings Discover started flight operations on short- and medium-haul routes from Frankfurt on October 31. With the first Airbus 320 from the fleet of the young Lufthansa Group airline, guests on flight 4Y 306 took off at 9:40 am from Frankfurt to the island of Tenerife.
Eurowings Discover is responding at short notice to the lifting of travel restrictions to the USA and will be offering travelers four weekly frequencies from Frankfurt to the "Sunshine City" of Tampa on Florida's west coast as early as mid-December 2021.
