More flights than ever before: Eurowings Discover expands operations in Windhoek

• Seven weekly flights between Frankfurt und Windhoek, starting March 27 as year-round service
• Further increase to ten weekly flights from July to mid-September, 2022
• Introduction of travel options for local travelers between Windhoek and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

This summer, Windhoek becomes the most frequently served destination in the flight schedule of the Lufthansa Group leisure carrier Eurowings Discover (4Y). From March 27, the airline will increase its offer from five to seven weekly flights between Frankfurt (Germany) and Windhoek, operated as year-round service. The program will then be further expanded to a total of ten weekly flights during northern summer peak season, lasting from July 2 to September 11, 2022.

The flights depart Hosea Kutako International Airport every day in the early evening. The three additional services during summer are scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing Windhoek early in the morning. Eurowings Discover is the only European airline currently offering direct flights between Europe and Namibia.

Local traffic between Windhoek and Victoria Falls
From end of March to mid-November 2022, three weekly services will be operated as tag legs with onward flight to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The route is offered on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with a short stopover in Windhoek. Just in time for the touristic peak season, regulatory approval has been granted to Eurowings Discover to also make their flights available for travelers from Namibia to fly to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Thus, as of mid-April, travelers from Namibia are offered the possibility to visit the natural wonder of Victoria Falls in just two hours flight time. Eurowings Discover is the first intercontinental airline ever to operate scheduled services to Victoria Falls.

The aircraft offers up to 300 seats, up to 30 of which are in Business Class (lie-flat seats), up to 31 in Premium Economy and up to 244 in Economy.
