Quality in focus: Discover Airlines further upgrades Premium Economy Class

Discover Airlines has further developed its Premium Economy Class service on long-haul routes. Similar to Business Class, food and beverages are now served on porcelain and in glasses instead of plastic and in aluminium. Furthermore, travelers can look forward to an additional cheese platter, which will round off the first service after take-off. As before, guests can also choose from a wide range of beverages; all soft drinks as well as wine and beer are included in the price.

In addition to upgrading the travel experience in Premium Economy Class, switching to porcelain and glass also reduces the use of disposable materials on board. Since the beginning, the leisure airline has placed significant emphasis on minimizing the use of plastic on board and testing alternative materials. For example, there is no plastic packaging for blankets and bamboo cutlery in Economy Class has been the Go-To from day one.

In a next step, the airline now examines to which extent disposable items and plastic can be further reduced in Economy Class.

Premium Economy Class can be booked on the vacation airline's long-haul routes and offers significantly more seat pitch and legroom than Economy Class. Depending on the aircraft configuration, up to 31 seats are available to passengers in this travel class.
