Eurowings Discover launches charter flights to Savonlinna in Finland
Eurowings Discover is launching charter flights to Finland for the first time this summer in cooperation with tour operator Zonista, a specialist for travel to Nordic countries. For the Frankfurt-based leisure carrier, this is the first ever destination in the north; until now, the charter flight schedule mainly included southern destinations from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean. Eurowings Discover is the first airline in the Lufthansa Group to fly to Savonlinna Airport.
A total of four charter flights will be offered this August. Over the next two years, up to twelve more flights are planned to the South Savo region in Finland. In just under three hours flying time, travelers will reach the picturesque city of Savonlinna, which is embedded in a lake landscape and offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities and tours in the surrounding area.
Together with its tour operator partners, Eurowings Discover is constantly evaluating opportunities to add attractive new vacation destinations from Germany.
