Summer 2025: Discover Airlines to offer new destinations and more flights from Frankfurt and Munich

  • Completely new in the flight schedule: Ålesund and Bodø in Norway and Reykjavík in Iceland
  • 5 destinations and up to 12 weekly flights: ‘Nordics’ offer larger than ever before
  • Significantly more flights to Greece and Bulgaria

Discover Airlines is launching new connections throughout Europe from Frankfurt and Munich next summer and is increasing popular routes, including to Greece and Bulgaria. New additions, not only for Discover Airlines but for the entire Lufthansa Group, are Ålesund and Bodø in Norway. Discover Airlines is the only airline to fly to these destinations from Germany.

Off to the Nordic countries: Range more varied than ever

With a total of five destinations in Northern Europe, Discover Airlines' “Nordics” offer next summer is bigger than ever. For the first time, the airline will be flying twice a week (Wednesdays, Saturdays) from Frankfurt to Ålesund in around two and a half hours between the beginning of May and the end of October. The city is located on the Norwegian coast directly at the entrance to the famous Geirangerfjord.

Discover Airlines is also taking off twice a week (Mondays, Thursdays) from Munich to Bodø between the beginning of June and the end of October. In around three hours flying time, travelers will reach the Norwegian city, which, like Evenes, is an ideal starting point for a tour of the Lofoten archipelago. The Frankfurt - Evenes connection is planned for summer 2025 with up to three weekly flights (Mondays, Thursdays, Sundays).

Kittilä in Finland will continue as a year-round connection from Frankfurt beyond the winter. With up to two weekly flights (Mondays, Fridays), travelers can reach the remote destination in Finnish Lapland in just under three and a half hours by plane. Discover Airlines is the first international airline to offer direct flights there in the summer as well.

With Keflavik, the international airport near Reykjavík, the airline is also adding its first destination in Iceland to its flight schedule. The connection from Munich was previously flown by Lufthansa and will be offered by Discover Airlines next year. Up to three weekly flights between Munich and Iceland's capital are planned from April to the end of October.

Plenty of sunshine - from Frankfurt and Munich

There is already no country featured more frequently in Discover Airlines' flight schedule than Greece. With Kefalonia and Kalamata, the leisure airline is expanding its offer from Frankfurt next summer by two to a total of eleven destinations. Both destinations will be served once a week (Kefalonia on Mondays, Kalamata on Sundays) and are already on the flight schedule from Munich this summer. Discover Airlines offers the only direct connection from Frankfurt to Kefalonia. Front runner among the ‘Greeks’: Heraklion on Crete will be increased by six flights next summer, bringing the total to 21 weekly connections.

Burgas in Bulgaria will be added to Munich's program next summer. From July to the beginning of October, Discover Airlines will fly to the harbor city on the Black Sea on Wednesdays and Sundays. Varna is already on the flight schedule from Munich this summer. The connection will be increased to three.

Discover Airlines will be offering a total of 36 short and medium-haul destinations from Frankfurt and 29 destinations from Munich next summer.

The flights can be booked as of now at discover-airlines.com, lufthansa.com and with all German tour operators and travel agencies.
