Discover Airlines lands in Bodø, Norway for the first time
- June to October: the only direct connection between Munich and Bodø with up to two weekly flights

On June 2, Discover Airlines took off from Munich Airport (MUC) to Bodø Airport (BOO) in Norway for the first time. The Airbus A320 with flight number 4Y1340 landed at 12:55 local Norwegian time after a flight time of around three hours. Guests and crew were warmly welcomed at the airport.
From June to the end of October, Discover Airlines offers up to two direct flights a week between Bodø and the Bavarian capital. Flights take place on Mondays and Thursdays. Discover Airlines' seamless connection to the worldwide route network of Lufthansa Group Airlines in Munich and Frankfurt makes it easier and more convenient than ever for travelers to reach Bodø.
Bodø is located 80 km north of the Arctic Circle on the west coast of Norway and - just like Evenes - is an ideal starting point for a tour of the Lofoten archipelago. The travel months of June to October are considered to be the optimal travel period with mild temperatures - perfect for exploring the wild nature, white sandy beaches, fjords or picturesque mountain scenery. Between June 4 and July 8, you can also experience the natural phenomenon of the midnight sun, when the sun does not set for several weeks.
Off to the north: Offer more varied than ever before
Due to high demand, Discover Airlines is constantly expanding its “Nordics” program. In addition to Bodø, the Lufthansa Group’s quality leisure airline already offers year-round connections from Frankfurt to Kittilä (Finland) and Evenes (Norway), as well as from Munich to Reykjavìk (Iceland). The “Nordics” offer will be expanded in 2025 to include two further seasonal destinations: Oulu (Finland) in summer and Alta (Norway) in winter, both from Frankfurt.
