Discover Airlines further expands its short and medium-haul offer and launches flights to Oulu

Good news for travelers who prefer cooler climates in summer or seek warmth in winter: Discover Airlines is adding Oulu in Finland to its summer flight schedule and is also extending connections to popular sunny destinations into the winter.

More destinations than ever: “Nordics” fully on trend

Between June and the end of September, Discover Airlines is adding a stopover in Oulu (OUL) to its year-round service from Frankfurt to Kittilä (KTT) in Finland. Flights will depart on Mondays and Fridays. Oulu is currently still offered by Lufthansa from Munich and will be handed over to Discover Airlines ex Frankfurt from June.

Oulu is one of the largest cities in Finland and is located in the northwest of the country on the Gulf of Bothnia. The region is rich in nature and an ideal starting point for outdoor activities. Due to the subarctic climate, the summer months are sunny and pleasantly cool, with average temperatures of 20°C.

In addition to Oulu, Discover Airlines' “Nordics” flight schedule also includes Kittilä, Reykjavík, Evenes and Bodø. From winter, a sixth destination, Alta in Norway, will also be added. Flights will depart from Frankfurt and/ or Munich, in some cases all year round.

Off into the sun – even in winter

Sun-seekers will also have plenty to look forward to. Discover Airlines is further increasing popular connections: Daily flights to Hurghada and Marrakesh are on the flight schedule from Frankfurt in winter 2025/26. From Munich, there will be three weekly flights to Hurghada and up to six flights to Marrakesh. Ibiza will be increased to two flights a week from Munich next winter.

In addition, the popular destinations of Varna (twice a week) and Dubrovnik (three times a week) will be operated from Frankfurt not only in summer, but also in winter for the first time. As already in Frankfurt, there will also be two weekly flights to Heraklion from Munich next winter.

From this summer, the leisure airline's fleet will consist of 30 aircraft, including 16 Airbus A320s on short and medium-haul routes and 14 Airbus A330s on long-haul routes.
